Kellie Chauvin wife of the Minneapolis officer who killed George Floyd by stepping his neck for more than 9 minutes, on Friday, seemed to divorce her husband.
Her attorney confirmed the news saying that Kellie seemed for dissolution of her marriage. The statement read "This evening, I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr Floyd's death her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving tragedy. She has filed for divorce for her marriage to Derek Chauvin."
"While Ms. Chauvin has no children from he current marriage, she respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family to be given safety and privacy during this difficult time."
Derek Chauvin is currently in Ramsey county jail, with bail set for $500,000 and is currently facing a one count of third degree murder and one count for man slaughter
