Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus aren't friends these days, as Demi explained in a radio interview yesterday that "people change" and they don't have anything in common anymore .While that seems as good an explanation as any, especially given Demi's focus on sobriety and cleaning house of toxic friendships, the singer took to Twitter to clear up her interview comment.
Demi tweeted about being proud and happy that she's not your typical Hollywood celeb, tweeting: "I feel like I don't fit in with Hollyweird at all and I'm actually kind of proud/happy about that."
When a fan noted "you didn't change which im proud of," Demi responded: "haha guess so."
One fan gave a shoutout that "people are gonna take this the wrong way," which Demi fully accepted, tweeting: "That's okay. It's not meant to sound that way but there's ways haters."
As for the specific comments Demi made about Miley, Demi responded to an E! News Now reporter who covered the story: "@janelEnewsnow 1. Completely thrown off on live radio. 2. I was doing an interview for my skin care line. Glad you got the memo."
True enough, that line of questioning came from out of left-field when she was anticipating talking about her skin care line!
Miley has not responded about Demi's comments.
